The 200-year journey of the camera, an optical instrument, has been gathered under the roof of Başalan Istanbul Camera Museum.
Antique and professional cameras, equipment and accessories, photographs, publications on these subjects, science, technology and art lovers meet with antique and professional cameras brought together by Att. Ahmet Başalan and Att. Feriha Başalan over a period of nearly 40 years.
LIVING MUSEUM
The museum, which sheds light on the transition from the past to digital photography, will bring together those interested in the camera by opening solo and group exhibitions of many photography artists, organising workshops, conferences and panels throughout the year.
By organising children's workshops with families, research and development activities on science and technology with universities, it will enable them to produce thoughts on the new generation camera world.
Başalan Istanbul Camera Museum has an art gallery, camera museum, library, souvenir shop and Obscura cafe.
